Peace out NextNewNetworks

As some of you are already aware, this is my last week at NextNewNetworks.  I was most privileged to spend the better part of a year working there with some really great people doing some really cool things.  I’ve never worked in a place surrounded by such a lively bunch of people doing what they love, and it was truly an inspiring place to be — which is why i signed up for 3 months and never left.

Moving forward, I have been offered a short term gig working with VBS.tv/Vice Magazine for the coming months, which will result in me taking a “real job” (e.g. not a contract) with them after this initial project is completed.  I’ve worked with these guys off and on for a couple years, and have admired their work for even longer, so I feel very grateful that they have asked me to come on board as a part of their team.  (Probably should use the word “stoked” right about now).  Also, it means I’ll be hitting up my man Rafi on Bedford for the best Bacon Egg and Cheese on the fucking planet on a way-too-regular basis.  It will be cool to be working literally a block from my old office and my old apartment again.  I needed a good excuse to be back in that ‘hood.

I am really happy to have been a part of NextNewNetworks as the team I worked with were some very talented individuals who were truly great to work with.  All of them will definitely go on to do great things with their lives for sure.  I hope to keep up with everyone (through random hangouts and, of course, IRC) tech team and not tech team.  You’ve all been great, and I will be happy to stay in touch.

Peace out NextNewNetworks,

John

Come support the arts in Dumbo! This event features low priced pieces for sale, and benefits the Dumbo Arts Center, a non-profit which runs the Dumbo Arts Under the Bridge Festival every year.
Also, this will be the New York debut of the greatest artist of our generation, Lily Olive (lilykoto.com).  GREATEST
